Strongest Chess Engine?

I am looking to buy a new chess engine and was wondering what people think is the strongest chess engine to buy at a reasonable price? I currently have Fritz 12 and want to have a chess program that has similar features to Fritz but is stronger. Any recommendations are appreciated. Thanks.

Buy Komodo 11 from chessbase. It has same fritz 15 graphic interface and better than fritz. Stockfish is free and a little bit stronger than Komodo but you wont know the difference and you need to download free arena GUI to play stockfish as well.

What is the 2018 strongest chess engine? July tournament

Stockfish is free and is currently the strongest.

Leela Chess 0 (LC0) is free and while not as strong plays in a different and interesting style.

Komodo 12.1.1 is commercial, and again plays with a somewhat different style.

Personally, I feel Komodo 12.1.1 and LC0 play in a more human like way, and I prefer them.

I have all three, as well as Fritz 16.

Less human doesn't mean bad: I only study with Stockfish or Stockfish-derived engines because they can give the strongest variants. Since I play Giuoco Pianissimo as opening, mainly played by all those clones, I have increased the percentage of my wins.
