stuck at 1100

Hey guys! I’ve been stuck at 1100 for quite some time. I don’t know what to do to get past this level. I was thinking about hiring a coach to help me practice and tell me what I need. Three questions.

1. Good approach?
2. Expensive?
3. Where can I get one?

Well, what have you been doing so far? I see that you have taken about 200 lessons. Have you tried the lessons now available on Chessable?

Coaches can be expensive but they can help you spot obvious flaws in your game that you haven't been able to see. That can be worth a lot.

At least 1000 coaches are listed on the coaches page here.

You can search them by location, rating and other criteria.

I think you can tell a lot from their profile pages-- whether or not they can speak your language.

Play a lot, analyze your games, and primarily study tactics. Your knowledge of openings, endgame, middlegame, etc. will come from analyzing your games and going over grandmaster games. Only study one of those specific topics if it is clear you are specifically losing because of that topic.

As a coach, I can help you with any part of that process, as well as teach you EXACTLY how to think at every stage of the game. Good luck! happy.png
