Started a year ago and reached 1700 , then I tilted and I'm constantly going up and down in terms of elo . Idc much about elo but it doesn't feel like I'm actually learning a lot . I don't have money and most endgame guides are dead boring . What do I do ? . My main openings are Caro , Kings Indian , Jobava London and English ( Botvinik Setup ) . I don't really wanna learn a million variations of Ruy Lopez . How do I force myself to watch those boring educational vids ? Please help.

If you want to know how to force yourself to watch educational videos, the first step is to sit down, open YouTube and watch an informative chess video. No one can actually force you, you need some decorum.

But on a serious note, just find an educational YouTuber that you find funny, e.g Gotham chess

Lol I think I should do both

Problem with Levy is that he doesn't make high level educational videos as much as beginner level vids and I don't blame him 85 perfect of his viewers are below 4 digits

Daniel Narodistsky I watch, he is probably the most educational chess youtuber, he also makes videos for people all the way up to 2500. Bonus is hes fun too, or Hikaru of you want a little more fun but a little less education.

You can watch levy if you find him entertainment, but you are right, you definetly don´t become a better chess player watching his videos.

Naroditsky have an endgame series i would recommend. Learn how to defend rook end games a pawn down, philidor lucena position. Without having watched any of your games, i can imagine you are doing fine in opening, your games doesn´t nescesarily end ond middle game tactics so often anymore etc.

My priorities in the begining would be pawn and game and rook end games

Endgame is where the rating is. Endgame is the most important aspect around our rating imo. you can play a bad opening and bad middle middlegame, but safe ½ a point in the endgame, but if you play a perfect opening, perfect middlegame, it wont matter if you drop it in the endgame. So many games are being decided in the endgame, the higher you get in rating.
