Stuck losing every match

I've lost the last 9 matches.

I'm not a pro, was at 550 rapid, but now I loose every game I play.

Not sure what is happening.

What do you guys do when that happens to you?

Fr3nchToastCrunch

I stop. Don't play when you're tilted.

Deadmanparty

Just think, when your rating drops low enough you will start winning most games..Your rating gets to high then you will mostly lose.

CFZirbes

Yeah, you're right, but what do you suggest for me to do to really improve my chess?

CFZirbes

I'm a chess.com subscriber, I use their lessons, their coaches, play the bots, whatch lots of instagram masters... What am I missing?

Today is just a bad chess day for you. Maybe focus on puzzles and learning today!

managed to win two games, lost one more, gonna stop now

TacoGambits

Stop giving chess.com your money, you are not going to improve

Good idea. If you keep playing, you will likely only lose more because your brain is overworked. Congrats on the wins.

Slow down, play longer games, do more puzzles. Train yourself to think the situation through rather than doing what looks right and hoping that it is.

I close my account after losing more than 200 elo and make another one.
Lol I’ve already done this twice ;-;

This is BRILLIANT advice!!

But I find it nearly impossible to stop playing until I win a game! 😂

I used to teach chess at local chess clubs in three provinces.

One of my students reached 2430 FIDE. That's over-the-board FIDE tournaments, not online.

One thing I noticed many times is that when a student learns some important new chess ideas... and especially strategic or positional ideas rather than tactics... his results suddenly go way down. He starts once again making silly blunders and mistakes that he had already eliminated from his play months earlier.

This continues while he tries to get to grips with the new ideas and assimilate them into his own playing style. This might take days or weeks. But once he gets his chess knowledge "re-packed" to include and properly use the new ideas, his results go back up, to a new and higher level.

One big bonus of this theory is that when you blunder your Queen away, instead of kicking yourself in the butt you can just think: "Wow... that was a really dumb thing to do. I must be getting BETTER! grin

Guys, tks a lot, never expected so many answers!

I also have trouble leaving the computer alone without a win. That's what makes me crazy, because I keep loosing!

Gonna do more puzzles, that's the only thing that I reckon I don't do enough.

CFZirbes

I've just remembered why I hate puzzles... I'm so bad!
