substinance during an otb game

I am talking to ghostess she offered but I dont think she was being serious.  money means little to me but chess tournaments and I never win at them.

If you add up all i have spent on chess, and chess related stuff.  Subtracted that from what i have won at chess tournaments.  You would have what is called a "horrible investment"  But all the experiences it has brought me cant be measured in money.

@IMBacon I have played in about 60 otb tournaments at the weekends or through 12 days etc not including club championships or team events in leagues and although ive come 2nd a few times and third I have never won 1st prize.

I must have spent easily 15000 dollars and got back 180 dollars in prize money

not counting about 6000 dollars on books,1000 on chess equipment,2000 on dedicated chess computers

that's easily 24000 dollars spent ie about 20000 pounds for 180 return ie 130 pounds

The most i ever won at a tournament.  I went downstairs to the sports book.  Collected my money.  Told them to hold 30% so i wouldn't have to deal with tax time.  Walked over to the roulette table, and promptly gave it all back.

I value chess so even though im also a roulette gambler -chess comes ahead of it.

I am actually 60000 dollars up in my gambling but I am useless at buying cars I buy them for 10000 dollars then sell them 2 months later for 6000 dollars because I need the cash

I have made a 25000 dollar loss on car sales plus paid off 25000 of debt plus paid for chess lessons 10000 dollars.
