Hey I'm new to the site (and chess) and I was wondering how good is the easy computer? I've played dozens of games against the computer now and have yet to beat it. Should the comp be pretty easy? Am I just really bad or is the computer super hard? I'd appreciate any tips. Thanks
the computer is very tactical, it can calculate many more times than we can, move continuations, however, it cannot think strategically, therefore it is possible to confuse the computer. I'm not a great player but I found this out when I did a kamikaze move straight down w/ the queenpawn, and confused it right out of the playbook. that was the first game against it that I won. I haven't won many but the few have been nice and I have friends just starting in chess who are beginning to beat the computer. don't stress about it, it's a great teaching tool, I use it to work on different parts of my game however its drawback is it can't "think" strategically so it is limited. good luck
