Suggestion for Staff

I just played a game and I was winning in the endgame, but you'll notice I lost by resignation. I didn't resign. I think since I was disconnected for 3 minutes I auto-resigned. But that's just ridiculous, and I've lost I don't even know how many rating points because I simply have terrible internet. How about this: When you're disconnected, your clock pauses and you have 5 minutes to reconnect, no matter what the time control is. Then, of course, you would run into the problem of people intentionally disconnecting to look at the position and think without losing time, so you also hide the pieces when you're disconnected. Then people would take a screenshot before disconnecting, so to prevent this you have the pieces disappear when the [Windows] or [Shift] key is pressed. (For those of you who are unaware, on Windows computers you can take a screenshot by pressing [Windows] + [Shift] + [S].) This way, people won't lose games, on time or by abandonment, when their internet crashes.

As to pausing the game, that makes your opponent have to wait as well and it's highly unlikely that any pause like that would implemented.
