Well, live chess games sound reasonable.
If you want to stick to on-line, just go for longer time controls (as much as 14 days/move is possible).
Have you also looked into OTB chess? I'm planning to play an OTB tourney with slow time controls this summer (9 games at G/90 + 30s/move-I'm so excited), as well as attend a chess summer camp. I'll also continue visiting the chess club twice per week. Looking for such opportunities near you could help you improve greatly.

It is very clear to me that the school year is now over. This leaves an interesting question for me and any student on chess.com, how to play chess over the summer. I want to remain active and keep my chess skills up, but I also want chess games that can fit in my schedule so I don't lose a lot via timeouts. Any suggestions?
