Suspect Cheating

Just wanted others' opinion on the matter.

Played a person today, and I decided to play the center game against them since that's the opening I know best and have gone over several times with a master level player. Anyway, I ended up losing, but I found it odd that a player less than 100 points higher than myself was playing the perfect book moves against me, so I complimented them and said you know the center game well, and they replied with "thanks" and then I asked them if they played the line often thinking that maybe this was their best known opening as well (this was about 15 moves into the game, mind you), but they never replied after that. After the game, I analyze it and find that my opponent played 35 excellent moves and only 1 good move in a 36 move game with a CAPS score greater than 99%. I immediately pull up another game by him and sure enough, he had another game with a CAPS score greater than 99% and this game was 25 moves total and he had 22 excellent moves and only 3 good moves. I hate to think of someone as a cheater and I don't want to come off as a sore loser (I even told them GG after the game), but this seems highly suspicious to me, and I wanted to get others' opinions. He has two loses that I see in his archives and they are all games under 10 moves (one is 3 and the other is 7.) He has one game that he lost that is 42 moves long, but both players have an abnormal amount of excellent/good moves for players in this rating range (IMO).

Thanks,

LOL standard games

and your problem with standard chess is? I'll also take your answer to mean you didn't read the post as well as it's lengthy like standard chess.

Chess.com takes cheating very seriously: see https://www.chess.com/article/view/chess-com-fair-play-and-cheat-detection, https://support.chess.com/customer/en/portal/articles/1444879-fair-play-on-chess-com-what-you-need-to-know and https://www.chess.com/blog/DanielRensch/cheating-on-chesscom.

Having said that, making this type of allegation in the regular forums is against Chess.com policy, as accurate identification of cheating is a complex issue - I have removed the name of the opponent from the original post. Please join the Cheating Discussion Club at https://www.chess.com/club/cheating-forum and they will help you understand whether cheating was likely in this case and advise you whether it's worth reporting to the Support team via Help --> Report Abuse or https://support.chess.com/customer/portal/emails/new; all reports are investigated, even if there is no immediate visible action.

I am now locking this thread.
