Suspicious activity

This seems to be happening quite often since the phone app update with the coach option. Are people switching from computer to phone using coach option? I know some people have connection problems but when it's a good connection and it still happens it's quite suspicious, I'd like a block player option to filter out playing cheats again. 

There is a block player option. Click your name in the top right corner of the screen. Over at the right, click "Privacy". At the bottom of the screen you'll see your blocked members.

I wouldn't assume Kestrel64 is cheating though. Some people have dodgy internet connections. And having a good connection doesn't necessarily change that; I generally have a pretty good connection but some days it's up and down like a kangaroo. It's highly unlikely that anybody at your level or mine is cheating. If they were they'd be at a higher level.

kaynight & PaulEChess , you had nothing helpful to say so why did you bother? 

Whatever the cause it sure is annoying/distracting and I've seen it happen a lot when playing 5 minute blitz.

kaynight; If I was accusing I would have chose; 'beware this guy he's a cheat' not, 'suspicious activity' with the added explination of what I find suspicious, which rightly is. It's called 'grammar'.

I still don't get how disconnection and cheating can be connected. What do you mean switching? Do you mean when you make a call you disconnect? Why?

They lose the disconnection time on their clock on chess.com. So how do they gain advantage?

Is it suspicious to block people who've done nothing to you. What has G12 got to say about that ?

Since you ask, you were blocked because I was seeing a lot of posts from you which were critical in nature and adding nothing of value - in short, because you appeared to be trolling.

I was referring to comments such as "So much for the sticks and stones theory" in a thread where someone was asking how to report completely inappropriate language. Even if it's a joke, there's no need for the implied criticism.

that is unbelievably silly.

so many members on here do not know how to ignore comments that become extremely upsetting if taken to heart. They would rather ruin their own day by carrying comments of unprofessional people with them.

You should just complain to your mammy that I consider getting upset by stupid comments worthwhile. And do me a favour by keeping me on block.

You misunderstand. I don't think you said anything exceptionally terrible or offensive, and I wouldn't ban you from the forums if I could. It just seemed like most of your comments were of a sort I didn't care to have in a thread I create. If you think that was unreasonable, I'm willing to unblock you. I was probably too quick jumping to a conclusion that you were deliberately trolling.

I just played two 10 minute games against someone who kept disconnecting. Even though some of his disconnections came when I'd just played a strong move, I don't think there was anything suspicious about it. He was in Nigeria, after all. I won them both.
