This tactic is played from black's side so you need to flip the board.
The correct 1st move for black following Bh6 is apparently Nxe4.
Why does white not simply capture the knight on f6 with his knight on c3?
Even if the bishops are then exchanged white is up in material.
Because 1. Bh6 Nxe4 2. Nxe4 Qxb2 would be checkmate. :)
