tactical error

I read somewhere, somebody did mention about "tactical error". I suppose
it to mean "any error committed by your opponent which can be exploited/
refuted by tactical means" (e.g. forks, pins, double attack etc...).

I might be wrong or right, anybody cares to give it an exact definition?
If you can demonstrate it with a game from master's play or from your own
practice so much the better.

Thank you, God bless us all!!

A tactical error is the part of the game where you drop some material for no apparent reason

Thank you heinzie, but this sound to me more of a blunder than a tactical one.

A tactical error is when you make a minor blunder(as what heinzie said), or try to do something stupid like relying on a pinned piece to protect an en prise square, or think that a skewer is a pin(hilarity ensues when your knight moves out of the way, exposing your queen, most of the time).

Another tactical error is when you don't take advantage of a fork, pin or skewer, or forget that a forked square is protected.

Basically, anything that slips your mind in the heat of battle but doesn't affect you so badly as for a (??) to pop up in the game.

You have enlightened me. Thank you for your thoughts.
