I tend to be more of a tactical player. And yes, I've taken down 2200s in my day. 
Nice. A true accomplishment. Take down a 2200
I've only beaten 1 or 2 2200+ players in tournaments, but I have won blitz games against players up to 2400. My goal is to beat a grandmaster in blitz, one day.

Try to be universal. If you aim for just one aspect of the game, it will be too easy for the opponent to choose a scenario where your strong side will be useless.
I accepted a draw as black in this position. Did black have a reasonable chance to win?
