For now I'm trying to learn the 1700 game
Tactical or Positional??

Help! Help! Help me play vs 2000. Positional, Tactical, gambit, I don't care. Everything's wrong.
2000s have it all. They play positionally to set up tactics that knock you senseless. They are unbeatable (unless you're 2100).
They crush me like I were <1000.

I would like to take down a 2200 one day. Even if by accident
Those 2000's play chess like eating sandwiches.

Well since I'm trying to learn the 1700 game. I sent you a friendly challenge
Accept, thanks. GL.
I've only beaten 1 or 2 2200+ players in tournaments, but I have won blitz games against players up to 2400. My goal is to beat a grandmaster in blitz, one day.

Try to be universal. If you aim for just one aspect of the game, it will be too easy for the opponent to choose a scenario where your strong side will be useless.
