Way too many problems that reoccur so one move at a time mostly on feeling. That sadly is counterproductive I think.
Tactics again.
It may not be a valid analogy, but in go we often have the same problem, the next move "feels" obvious, but you know you really should read out the entire sequence. Time controls often do not always allow this, but I feel like over time, by doing problems like this, you improve your "feel", your intuition gets better.
In this case, you're not necessarily training your ability to read ahead, you are training your ability to spot interesting gameplay, which is a useful parallel ability.
depends on the problem i guess, but sometimes i'll see all the moves to the end before i make the first one. not always though.
That's what I mean. I don't feel I'm making much improvement because I so often don't see all the moves ahead in time.
When you do a tactics trainer puzzle on here, do you usually see all the moves ahead within the time limit? I usually limp through them seeing one move at a time, so even when I score 95% or higher, I don't feel like I accomplished much.
