Tactics Improvement

I was wonder if someone could take quick look at my tactics stats and tell me what they think in terms of my improvement. I just started playing chess in January and my first introduction to any tactics was when I started practicing them here.So everything is new.

I'm just wondering what to think about my progression so far. Is is very slow, average, quick? I know I'm getting better at recognizing things and even the problems I get wrong I often get the second try.

So, juat wondering if someone with more experience can read anything from my stats in terms of progression. Thanks for any and all assistance.

You will know that your tactical ability has improved the day that you are analyzing a position and the tactic jumps up off the board and smacks you on the forehead in a flash!!

That does happen some of the time. For a week or two I was kinds stuck under 800,then I broke though. Now I seem to be stuck between 900-950.I guess I should focus on which types of problems are giving me the most trouble.

Thanks for the comment. Any further comments are very much appreciacted. Also, if there are any videos that people might want to recommend that they found particularly useful.

Solve tactics problems at random. Do not select any particular type. Because that is the way tactics come at you at random in games that you play. Do about 27 diagrams per day. Give yourself 3 min per diagram. Do not linger on any diagram. It is about seeing the tactic almost instantaneously.

Random tactics puzzle solving is better practice in advance level IMO. Beginner and intermediate players should focus on puzzles by themes or motifs. When their pattern recognition improves, that's the time to solve random puzzles.
