That's how it works in principle, but the rating change doesn't only depend on whether you solve the problem or not, but also on how much time you take:

Is the rating of a problem depend on who solved it for example if I solve a hard problem would the rating on the problem come down, and if I got an easier problem wrong does the rating go up?
