I think you may have been reading a suggestion. This isn't an feature of Tactics Trainer. You can do this with Chess Mentor, however.

Hey. I was reading one of the posts on here a while back and someone refered to setting the tactics so that it would choose a theme (such as just forks or removing a defender, etc) instead of randomly. Is that so and how can it be set, I didn't see anything like that in the settings
