If youre doing tactics solely for the rating, and answering/guessing quickly to get more points, youre probably not going to improve as fast, or consistently. A former coach told me to stucdy a position for 2-3 minutes. If you cant figure it out, set it up on a real board with real pieces. That alone, helps me to see so much more.

Hello people. My first post in the forum.
I would like to ask about the tactics trainer.I am usually between 1900-2000 and cannot by any means get higher.My blitz rating is 1600 my bullet 1700 and my standard 1700. Should i continue trying to improve my tactics? If yes whats the spirit of the tactics trainer? Should i wait and try even for 10 minutes or more until i am absolutely sure i found the line or should i trust my hunch every once in a while?
