Most of those types of tactics mean that a checkmate is a move or two away. If you look at the solution it should be prety clear why it is the best move and if not, check the analysis and source ant that should make it clearer.

I dont understand the moves in the tactics trainer. Sometimes it seems the solution is to move my queen where she can be captured. I dont understand that.
