Well, I'm nowhere good enough to do that for most of the tactics puzzles given how many are quite complicated. I can clearly see how that would be useful for someone far better than me, but for someone of my mediocre skill level it isn't remotely instructive. It's just demoralizing and makes me want to avoid them altogether. But at least I now know that it's just I'm bad at chess and not bad at computers, too, I guess.

When I go to the tactics, they seem to usually have no tag. Some are mates in 1 or 2, but others are just capturing a piece or removing a defender. It's really hard to know what to do without a tag. Am I doing something wrong where I'm just not seeing the goal, etc.?
