So Im rated at USCF 1860, and I wanted to work on my tactics. What would you recommend as the best way to study tactics? endless puzzles? books? both?

Thank you in advance.

Puchiko

There's a tactics trainer here, limited to 3 tactics a day.

I prefer chesstempo.com, where you can do an unlimited number of tactics puzzles. The difficulty of the problems will adjust to your rating. It's a great tool.

I like to do tactics in books. Atm im using The Complete Chess Workout, by Richard Palliser

Yes, endless puzzles Smile. The key though is to understand why the solution works for every problem; it's all too easy to do 100 puzzles too frivolously and end up forgetting all of them. My rating is similar to yours and that's what I have been benefiting from, though I am rather weak in tactics.
