What kind of tactics are there for chess?Undecided

Off the top of my head here are some of the tactical themes (you can just google it for a full list).


Pin, fork, skewer, removing the defender, discovered attack, clearance sacrifice, interference sacrifice, windmill, and desperado.


Almost all of them boil down to the idea that if you threaten two things, and your opponent can only respond to 1 of them (with their 1 move of course) then on your next turn you can win something.
