Team Chess vs Vote Chess

For those of us who have never cared for Vote Chess, I'd like to suggest a variatiion you could call "Team Chess".

Here is how it might work:

Members of the Team for a particular Team Chess game would be listed by rating and the highest rated player would be the Team Captain.  When moves are being considered the Team Captain would assign members of the team to analyze candidate moves and/or sub-variations.  Generally speaking the candidate moves with the most plausibility would be assigned out by the Captain to the team members more or less in order of rating.  One of the higher rated members of the Team might also be assigned to look out for apparently implausible moves that could turn out to be worth analyzing.

Team members would report back with their analysis and group discussion would ensue.   All members of the team would be welcome to join the discussion but, at the end of the day, the Captain would have the responsibility to decide on the best move to play.

Sort of like Vote Chess without the voting.   The goal would be to play the best possible move, which might or might not be the most popular move.  There would no longer be any need to be concerned with silly votes or 'sabotage'.

Just FWIW.  I have no interest in Vote Chess, but I would happy to try to contribute to a Team Chess game if one could be organized.
