1311 is actually pretty good. It means that you'd probably be able to beat most casual players. A little study and experience will advance your game even further.

No surprise really I've been playing seriously for about the same time.

Update: Live Standard is now 1375, improving slightly every day. Any book recommendations? On average I play 1-4 games every day depending on the situation, but definitely one every day. :)

Vladimir Vukovic's 'Art of attack' helped my game considerably. Nimzowitsch's 'My system' is probably the best best book on chess though.

Every book from Seirawan's Winning Chess series is great.
