terrible chess

I've been playing some dreadful chess for the last couple of weeks. I went through a period where I hardly lost a game, and some fantastic combinations were possible, but now I just stare at the board and can't see anything at all. My games are littered with blunders, and I've got into some shocking positions within a few moves. Even the games I've somehow won have been down to some even worse play from my opponent. What is going on???

You are not the only one who is experiencing this problem. I use to be as high as 1600 now I am lucky if I can get up to 1500!!!

I reviewed some of the games I played and think 'did I really make that move?' One game I played, I was a one move from checkmate, the next I see I lost the game. Hackers? I am not ruling this out!!!

Chess vision comes and goes...after all, it all has to with what you see at the board that influences decision making. Spacial awareness plays a big part in chess and that can fluctuate.

I think only you would be able to figure out why you can't concentrate. Love, lack of sleep, not eating, not excercising, have all contributed to that:

"I just stare at the board and can't see anything at all" feeling for me, at certain timesSmile

Such things happen in all sports and fields.  Writers call it: "Writer's Block."  Can you think of anyone who is on top of it all of the time?  Play another game, such as Khet once in awhile.
