Terrible matchmaking issues

I’m bullet 1800 and after being matched twice with people 1550 and aborting both games I can’t seem to find a normal game at all - before the matching would be instant, now after waiting for ~1 minute I’m matched with people rated ~1000-1300. Is this a punishment for aborting the match or the servers’ problem..? If it’s my fault does anyone know a potential fix?

Is there any way to move this on the different chess levels? when I play rapid chess I get people with low ratings to, but in regular chess they've got ratings better than mine in like +200, +300. So in rapid we're the same, but in general we're absolutely not. Anyone got an idea how to tackle that one?
