There is a great article on the Chess.com home page: The 10 Chess Pieces Least Likely to Survive a Game (here is the link: http://www.chess.com/article/view/the-10-chess-pieces-least-likely-to-survive-a-game )

This made me think, what is the piece (not counting kings) that is most likely to survive?  Without doing any research (who has time), I would imagine it would be the uncastled rook since it is typically the last to be developed.

Interesting article.

IT is usually my peace of mind that is the first to go in a good game.

My guess also the Queen rook, King rook, Queen Bishop, King bishop. I am at a loss for a guess after that. Does the King count since it does not come off the board?

Mine seems to run off the board way too quickly..just leaving all of the other pieces wondering what to do next.
