I someone aborts too often, as a percentage of recently completed games, they lose the ability to abort and all games that start as rated will be rated, regardless of the reason.
In addition, the perception of cheating levels is orders of magnitude more than the actual amount. The vast majority of games and players are clean.

The site closed more than 113,000 accounts in May for fair play violations and has a full team of staff working on reports along with some automated systems for detection.

That said, discussions of cheating, potential cheating, or cheat detection are not allowed in the general forums. If you would like to discuss join the following club

I reached 1900 Blitz losing around 203 games in the process
then I started to abort games/auto abort games because playeres had just joined about '1 minute ago, or '10 minutes ago' etc or because players would offer me draws straight away or because a quick look at their account showed they were clearly up to no good
yet now I can't get passed 1700, have I been put into some sort of [removed -- MS] Aborters club with the dodgiest of players, it's like when I report this players I feel like I am blocked by chess.com or put on some kind of ignore or mute button, yet I haven't played a single player who's yet to be banned.
Conclusion, chess.com has the crappest algorithm for catching cheats going and their software can only catch stupid cheats who have something open on the same browser, and their Report button is absolutely worthless.
Nobody should be punished like me for Aborting games against clearly dodgy accounts, but we are, and it pisses me off, no wonder so many end up closing their accounts. Sort it out ffs.
