Me 🥺
I had never heard of Krav Maga before so I just looked it up. There's a class here in Charlotte for it.

Very effective & no gi needed.
"It is known for its focus on real-world situations and its extreme efficiency.....Like most martial arts, Krav Maga encourages students to avoid physical confrontation. If this is impossible or unsafe, it promotes finishing a fight as quickly and aggressively as possible. Attacks are aimed at the most vulnerable parts of the body, and training is not limited to techniques that avoid severe injury; some even permanently injure or cause death to the opponent...Students learn to defend against all variety of attacks and are taught to counter in the quickest and most efficient way."

My daughter took a 1st quarter course in it at University & the class did not fill up. She liked it and decided to take it again 2nd quarter, but didn't sign up right away. About a week before it's start, to her surprise when she tried to sign up it was already full with a waiting list. I told her that unfortunately that may have happened, because of what happened with the four University students that were murdered in their home in Idaho. I told her to sign up again early 3rd quarter. It's not taught as a sport, pure self-defense.

This link is more realistic. Weapon versus unarmed never by choice. When no choice, know how & defend yourself...escape if possible.

@Iza78 So, what is it like having so many different dialects? Is it sometimes difficult to communicate as you travel?
#79 🤣 Women need to know how to defend themselves. 10 or 20 years ago I had women friends who lived downtown and could walk around any time of the day or night, no problem. Now we're just another big city with murders and everything.
And we must remember that Werner Herzog told us that we must pay attention to Shakespeare as well as the WWF. I'm having a hard time with that. 😁
The thing about the pronunciation debate is that you are all right. It just depends on what part of the world you are in and your past experiences. I declare a draw.
Now I am just trying to decipher the patois and, apparently, Our Man in the Seychelles knows way more about Chicago slang than I do. It's not Welsh, is it?

There are better MA's to learn than Krav Maga. Also bear in mind, it only works on Palestinians.
Not a surprise. People trained in martial arts with guns vs civilians with no weapons and maybe some elderly and children

It's the fastest most effective way to quickly learn self defense from an amalgamated hybrid of aikido, judo, karate, boxing and wrestling. Jiu Jitsu, Judo and other martial arts are frequently practiced as sports. Krav Maga is a self defense system preparing for real world confrontations without rules. Learn what you want. Trolling is not a martial art. ![]()
The argument should be settled using Krav Maga & The Art of War strategy (none of that fake WWE Wrestling).....that should stir the pot.
