The best FIDE rated opponent you have defeated.
In my first tournament I had a won position against a 2000 rated CM, computer gave me +4.5 edge but I still lost.
however I drew a 1855 guy and lost against 4 people with 1500-1600 because of blunders.
In official over the board play (USCF), I've defeated IM Michael Valvo (2440 FIDE). In online blitz, I defeated Alexander Ipatov (+2650 FIDE). I also beat GM Evgeny Vasiukov (~2500) in blitz, who is a bit of a chess legend. He once trashed Fischer in blitz. Of course, when I played him, he was quite a bit older.
In a simul, I defeated GM Larry Christiansen (+2600 at his best).
I beat a player rated 2195 FIDE and only 1900 USCF. Meanwhile I was 2000 USCF and 1600 FIDE. A very odd situation. His FIDE rating was not based on many games and his USCF rating was clearly much more indicative of his strength than his FIDE.
I've beaten a couple more legitimate FIDE expert-level opponents and drawn a handful of FMs (some actually 2300 FIDE, others formerly 2300 FIDE).
My FIDE rating is currently in the low-to-mid 1800s while my USCF rating is 2001. I have certainly played many more USCF rated games than FIDE games but I wouldn't say my FIDE rating is too far off my skill level unfortunately. Could be wrong, always working to get better.
I've defeated a FM from the Middle East.
The highest-rated player I've drawn with was ranked 4th in the world at the time. Granted, it was just in a simul.
I won against a 1900+ in rapid.. thats my best.. next best is few games against my friend who is 1700+.. ![]()
I once won a blitz game against a player once placed 3rd in the Swedish championship. Not that impressive I suspect...
Let's start with me. The highest rated player I ever defeated was 1503.
