P.S. -- Trotting out a novel opening for which the opponent is unprepared is not "unfair play" -- isn't that the idea?

I honestly forgot about this whole ordeal. It was in the news non stop for a week, then never heard of him again 🤷♂️. He's still banned from chess.com, personally as you said I don't think there's enough evidence but the world seems to have forgotten
I should add that I started this thread before I had read this blog post about the anti-cheating system here:

Also, I would agree that I have no standing to ask about cases that do not involve me.
So, what happened with that?
Was there ever a fair resolution or official statement about it?
Being called a cheater with a presumption of guilt when Chess dot com's algorithms and statistics are the only evidence of culpability doesn't seem fair to me.
