The 'C' word. When to be suspicious of an opponent...

Hypothetically...if you're playing somebody and you have noticed their rating has increased alot recently, and you decided to check them out, would you find it suspicious that they've only been a member for 12 days and have won 15 out of 15 daily games already against quite highly rated people? Completely hypothetical. Not accusing anyone of anything 👀 After all, they could just be a decent player....or a good player who has started a new profile..........or are using an engine. In this completely made up hypothetical situation, can such suspicions be reported to chess.com, or would it need more meat. More meat on that hypothetical bone....

Why wouldn't they? Online chess is open to abuse regardless of the format

Or they could simply be a person who played competitive chess years ago and is knowledgeable on the fundamentals, opening principles, tactics, and basic endgames and just started on chess.com. Not everyone who opens an account is new to the sport, science, art and game of chess.

Yes @Robalero if you read my original post I did concede that it could also be a good player who has recently started a new profile on here.

Pressed send too quick. But anyway, I guess it doesn't past the test in terms of suspicion so I'll just get on with my life. I was just interested to see what others think, instead every comment seems slightly sarcastic, or just a link to a random music video.
