The pursuit of happiness is real this  is not simple. And you want to know a secret do you know what happiness is not fame or riches, but to find meaning in one's life. That is true happiness.

Chess does not clarify your humanity

In fact I seriously doubt whether any of you chess freaks have any humanity at all: I've never met a chess freak who had one ounce of humanity.  They were all mental midgets with no girlfriend and no life except distraction:: which is what chess is.

I had to sell my soul to the devil when I signed up for the site ... I thought everyone did???

No: you must strive for humanity: not for competition

competition is not humanity

Avatar of letsgohome

This is basic logic brah not all asepct of humanity is competition. But all competition is humanity. Have you ever done an IQ test where a question if all x's are y's and if all t's are b's then is all e's q's. This is the same logic then. you are so cool brah. how can i get like you

"nanotechnology is here" - that doesn't really affect whether or not computers can learn, that just is the width of the transistor. Artificial intelligence is the realm of technology which would enable "learning."

Personally, I play against both. The computer kicks my ass of course. But I still learn from it. Mostly what NOT to do in an opening. By the middle game it's pretty much over. But every day I try to play at least once against a different engine. I also play against people, on here and other places. Playing against people is fun. Playing against Gull, or Houdini, or Stockfish is training.

Chess is a game played between two persons whose objective is to check mate the opponents King.

What are you doing on a chess site if you despise the game and those that play it so much?  Making such sweeping statements about others humanity is ludicrous and shows a serious lack of intelligence.
