The conspiracy against me

Is it possible to have studied chess for the last 10 years, reading books, watching videos, playing the computer and the internet public, playing OTB tournaments, practicing openings, endgames, tactics, and strategies, and generally studying all aspects of the game (for 10 years) and still have a blitz rating that is the same as when I started...

No actually it is lower. I started playing 1400's on yahoo chess.

I am sick and tired of being the subject of cheaters, liars, sandbaggers, jerks who are trying to annoy me and irritate me and get me to snap, people who spy on me, people who talk about me behind my back, and exquisitely timed web/and or computer glitches that force my loss to opponents of lesser ability. I've seen every possible trick, on and off the board employed against me and I know for 100,000% certainty that there is some divine acts of intentional conspiracy keeping my rating so low.

Maybe you should have the fillings in your teeth removed like Bobby Fischer did so your opponents can't read your thoughts.

Nicholas_Shannon80

Do you think that would work? I have been rather annoyed with people doing that to me the last several years...

Nicholas_Shannon80

that's actually not a joke

You have only been here for a year.  My first thought is that Yahoo blitz ratings and chess.com blitz ratings are not comparable, because they are rating different groups of players, so you can't conclude anything from the fact that your rating on Yahoo was higher.

Secondly, if you look at your chess.com current blitz rating of 1266, you stand almost 200 points above the average rating of 1088. Given that there are almost 1.7 million blitz rated players, you are better than at least a million. That's not so bad, is it?

We all lose games owed to computer glitches and lost connections occasionally.  No site is perfect.  I think you should be thankful you live in the United States. Connections from other countries are often much worse.

// Besides, if the conspiracy is divine, there's not much you can do.

The only thing you said that has any relevence to the situation is the very last sentance. The only reason you said it is because you know I'm right. The rest is just a bunch of wish-wash to try to satisfy the public.

1. I had an account practically when the site was started...

2. yahoo is not the only site I've used. I'm more experienced that you are attempting to make me... which is what I've been trying to tell you on this topic... I KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT

3. The only reason 1088 is common is because the incredible amount of people who make garbage accounts to boost up their own (or their partner's) main account. i.e. a form of cheating. But then the same people with 2000+ ratings only attempt to play me with their garbage accounts so my rating is always and forever skewed.

4. Not one person has the exact glitches I experience. Mine are so blatantly obvious that someone is hacking the site and my computer that is cannot possibly be an accident. I've mailed staff about the issue in the past, and have tried to clean it up but to no avail. I have even switched to different computers and the glitches follow my account.

There is no way to explain this. The people who know won't explicitly say how or why, and unfortunately the people who don't know can't concieve of it.

I understand that your concern is not a joke, and in the same spirit, I offer a solution based upon the evidence.

It is entirely possible that no matter what efforts you are able to (reasonably) make, you will never be a strong player. Ten years of study and practice for zero gains is a pretty big clue.

a year ago =/= (does not equal) nearly when the site started

Nicholas_Shannon80

In case you can't read, I said I had "an account" back when the site was new... not this account.

Here's another piece of evidence. The last 3 days every time I try to play the Budapest Gambit every single opponent I've played has played the non-standard move, a3, stopping my bishop from coming to the checking or pinning square b4. EVERY SINGLE PERSON. How would it be possible for every person I've played in the last 3 days to have the exact same idea to attempt to stop me from playing one of my favourite bullet openings? A person who had a legitamate 1200 rating would not even know what a budapest gambit was!

check the game history if you doubt it

It's only paranoia if they're not out to get you.
