Hi, I like to play defencive chess very much but was always playing balanced chess and started only lately to play very defencivley like a dead man on the board ,does any body know useful tips for that style

As someone who is currently playing a game with you, I'd suggest actually playing defensively opposed to gunning me down with your pawns! :P

I probably am not the best for giving advice, but I'd just suggest worrying about controlling the center of the board instead of the opponents king if you want to be defensive. A good defensive move as well would be castling, if you want to play a slow game, get that done first before you even begin to make checks with your queen. The "dead man style" should involve playing dead for many, many turns. That's all I can really say though, you definetly know how to control your pieces in a strong fashion, so you will no doubt end up being a strong opponent when the aggression can be controled ^w^

thxs for the reply,I know I play offensively now but that's how I play in corr games on contrary with live games where I can't play all this number of openings etc

Is part of this mysterious dead man style timing out on 80% of your games?

We all time out some times actually i was busy and my games were all fast pace now i'm playing slower pace and not timing out in any game.

I am not sure what is meant by dead man style. I looked it up on Google and cannot find what it means in terms of chess. You seem to play a regular style, whatever that is. I am not a good player myself and do not have a style I know of. You seem pretty active on the board, not dead at all.

Yes I'm sometimes more active but like to play defencivley some times
