I recall GM Kogan reporting that GM Tkachiev struggled with alcoholism and depression for years, implying that his friend would be much more succesfull a player had he become serious about his issues...
By now Vladen has got his own website though, but in any case i still wonder if chess can truly relieve the passions of darkwave sensation-seekers!
