Interesting interpretation.
Like Benjamin Franklin, I believe that if such supernatural beings exist, they couldn't care less if we ignored them or paid attention to them.
Lucifer and chess? More likely bored, ordinary people invented the first, very-simplified version and it grew from there.
The Platonic Great Year is one of the important conceptions of existence. The Great Year, which last 25,600 years, the time it takes to get through a complete 12 sign zodiacal signs. There have so far been 4 complete great years and we are in the center of a fifth. By the way, the Great Year is divided up into seven "days" indefinite periods of different levels of spirit. These seven days are the days of the week!
Saturday - Saturn or Satan's Day, Day of Catastrophe and Descent into Materialism
Sunday - Lord's Day, Strength in dark times
Monday - Day of Law, Civilization rebuilds itself again
Tuesday - Day of Duality, Central Conflict of Great Year comes to a head
Wednesday - Marriage Day, All sides come together and love reigns
Thursday - Thunder's Day, Spiritual sustenance creates paradise on earth, paradise lasts the duration of the cycle.
Friday - Day of Light or Fire, earth becomes filled with spirit and good things happen. Good things last until the next Saturday.
Our cycle's conflict happens to be that of Tolerance and in general conflict over minutia etc. The main conflict of our era revolves(and has revolved around) skin tones. Basically, the color white versus the color black. I could tell you about why this happened, about how one of the seven Elohi or chosen: Jupiter, gave magic to the white folk of Atlantis and not the black folk, because the white folk were more like him and the black folk more like his enemy Apollyon, but we are here to talk about the game of chess and so that is what we will discuss.
The game of Chess was created in Mughal India after an important conquest of a holy site. The holy site happened to belong to the Elohi known as Lucifer. Now, many conflate the Elohi Lucifer and Ahriman or Satan. One should try to avoid doing this as they are very different beings and in fact they hate each other. To understand the difference in personality type of Ahriman and Lucifer, compare Bobby Fischer and Mikhail Tal. No two players give more of a rendition of the personalities of Ahriman and Lucifer and how profoundly differently those two beings are.
The Mughal King came to the site to see a being only slightly taller than he, claiming to be Lucifer, the Light of the World, the Genius of the Gods. Lucifer promised the king riches beyond imagining if he could bring him the wisest man in the Kingdom. So the King brings that wise man. Lucifer was a fan of games and so he commissions the wise man to come up with a game that would mirror existence. He instructed the wise man to make the game so that it would contain both infinity, all there is, and unity, the oneness of all. He also instructed the wise man to make one side white and one side black, and to have the white side move first and the black side move last. He had one other ask of the wise man. That neither of the sides triumph in a battle of equal skill. If white is better white beats black and if black is better black beats white, but to remain true the nature of the conflict, if both sides are equal, it should remain a draw.
The Wise Man wracked his brain for many nights trying to figure out how to create infinity. Then one night it came to him in a dream, the checkered quilt of his childhood. He awoke and started carving wood. One square, two squares, till he reached 64. Why did he stop at 64? Because 6+4=10, and 1 and 0 represent unity and infinity respectively. To test his concept he went to the king and poured a bag full of sand on each square, doubling it on each one. By the 64th square the bag reached the ceiling of the fortress. Assuredly, he went to Lucifer who bestowed unto him no gifts but a single blessing and a mission: go and show this game to every gambler and guardian in the land, that this may be the game of games and that in all its essence king and countryman are alike on each side of the board. No magic, no status but mind governs who wins and who loses. And he who draw are as happy equals, this is my quay unto you.
So did the game of chess come into being. A representation of reality as we know it.
A few things about the game of chess.
The game of chess was built to be a game of pure skill. There is no luck or outside influence, so magic has no ability to change anything about the game itself. Only one's mind matters.
The game of chess is theoretically infinite and nowhere close to being figured out. The game will last as long as civilization itself and civilization will last a pretty long time before the next catastrophe. Every player impresses their soul onto the board. If one looks at a Fischer game they can brutal efficiency and years of training. When one looks at a Tal game they might see whimsy and pieces mocking their opponent. When one looks at a Steinitz game one sees experimentation and a need to explore the unknown. When one looks at a Lasker game one sees a profound struggle between a player and himself and also his opponent, who is struggling with himself as well.
Chess is a game of the cosmos. And its poetic end tells of Lucifer's great wisdom. For if white and black are equal in strength, neither will come out victorious but each will draw.
