The Games going on in Moscow

So. I came here expecting to see some discussion of the on-going World Championship match and have seen nothing other than one thread on the playing conditions (size of board, size of pieces).

It is now Saturday p.m. here in America. I have spent the better part of an hour and a half looking at different commentators reviewing Game Two on YouTube.

Does anyone here have any thoughts about the match thus far? That's what I mean when I say I was surprised that there is not more discussion here on Chess.com. I have never followed a World Championship match before - this one came along just a month after I began playing again (and that here on Chess.com). So with no comparison to use, these two draws thus far don't really tell me anything.

For example, what do y'all think about these two games? How Black defended and how White attacked. The choice of defensive openings? Drawing games at less than 30 moves? Anything you might want to point out would be welcomed by me!

Hey there Trysts: well 3 of the links you give are of before the games began.  And the other one is the thread I mentioned in my orig. post, i.e. size of board. Not much on the games 1 & 2 as reflections pieces? We did have SoP of the Staff give his insights on games 1 & 2 which I appreciated.

Hi, Saintpaulina. I expected a lot more threads as well, and I am totally with all the discussions you're interested in! So, I'm glad you opened another thread for what interests youSmile

It is interesting that so many members get my name wrong! And always the same way wrong. Interesting. Somehow that "a" before "n" gets overlooked. Cool Well I am glad you are interested in the same discussions as well. Game 5 today. Another draw, yawn.

Estragon, thanks. I'll check it out. Always looking for another source of commentary-coverage. I have greatly enjoyed Daniel King's analyses on YouTube/powerplaychess.

Well now we have had game 6 (May 18th-Friday). I just ran thru the moves and must say this was a rather exciting game! But, just when it could have gotten MORE interesting, they drew. I just don't get it. Maybe b/c I am not a World Champion or W.C. contender?

I have drawn games, of course, as we all have. But I don't seek a draw when my games are at the juncture we see in this game 6 (or the others for that matter). Perhaps someone following this thread can explain to me, someone of the meanest understanding, why these games are drawn after less than 2 hours, less than 30 moves, and just when the games are moving into what could be a good end game?
