I'm surprised more people aren't talking about this issue, but upon looking into the new Freestyle Chess Grand Slam Tour, I saw that they will be holding FIVE tournaments instead of four. Maybe this is actually not a huge issue, or maybe it is because I am an American who knows something about baseball, but how on earth can you call a 5 event tour a GRAND SLAM tour??? That is almost like saying that if a tennis player wins a calendar grand slam (all 4 grand slams in a year) then he scored a "hattrick"!
It is just gross to even think about!
