That is called Daily chess.

More like blitz. Correspondence chess should be 3 days per move to allow time for research and reflection.

You can play Daily anywhere from 1-14 Days per move.  So yea i guess you could say 1 day per move is kinda like blitz.

I could say so and did.

I've played 10 days per move. I was happy that no one in the tournament wanted to use all their time and the event concluded in about a year.

In the days of postcards, games that lasted less than a year were due to blunders.

I do miss postal chess.  The wait for the post card was as i posted earlier like waiting for Christmas morning.  Yea...if a postal game didnt last years someone blundered.

Is anyone else getting fed up with the growing trend of players abandoning games rather than resigning or playing it out? I just played three games in a row where my opponent abandoned the game rather than resigning or playing on. I know things happen from time to time and I’ve accidentally abandoned games but I always try to resign if something comes up and I can’t finish the game. But there seems to a very rapid and increasing trend in players just obviously abandoning games recently. I personally think Chess.com needs to find a more proactive way to remove these players and I report them regularly. Maybe if a person abandons a certain number of games in a specific time period then their account will be automatically flagged for review? Am I the only one frustrated by this?

Chill buddy! It's part of online chess. Can't do anyting about it. I used to get frustrated when my opponents immediately get disconnected when they blunder horribly. Now, I am used to it

When i played online i had a book with me when this happened.  Never understood why it bothers people so much.

Judging by the forums.  Reading is not the issue.  Comprehension is.
