the key of chess is to make a good move

some think chess is just a game and some think chess is a way of life. neither is incorrect but depends on their own personal values.

Chess and ethics are not really related. Chess and obsession tend to be related. Obsession + Time sometimes = proficiency. Other times, insanity, instability.
don't forget there's always two sides in one coin:negative and positive ,light and dark, good and bad, unfortunately you picked a bad side as you said chess is related to obsession insanity and instability and I pick a good side that chess is related to ethics,it depends on our intention
It is up to you to prove your point. I reference Bobby Fischer and Paul Morphy to begin with. Your turn.
I don't want to judge them cause I don't have a right to do so,,why some people felt that they were good enough to judge them, call them insane crazy or whatever is not fair cause they don't have chance to defend theirselves as they had died,i wonder if these two genius high intelligent men are alive and they stand before those accusers, they will give you a sharp argument
Bobby Fischer had plenty of time to defend himself. Decades in fact. When called on his nonsense he simply doubled down and upped the batsh*t.

And as far as Paul Morphy goes, I can see little about his life that points to him being mentally unwell, or particularly obsessed with chess. He was a brilliant player during childhood and young adulthood, but retired from the game fairly early, choose to focus himself on other pursuits. He studies the law, but was never able to firmly establish his own practice, to his great disappointment. Sure, he lived a largely idle life, but many children of weath do.

HUNDREDS OF THREADS on this site provide ample evidence that chess is a massive obsession, and that people so inclined will block and shut out anyone who disputes their "pin-headed" view that chess is something absolutely FANTASTIC, to which they have dedicated their time and life.
Here's a three year old thread that recently banned me, despite my multiple contributions.
Bottom line, a few "pinheads" simply want to talk among themselves.

P.S. I believe chess is a (pleasant) obsession for life. No more, no less. And yes, Chess keeps getting "DEEPER and deeper," above USCF 1900+, no surprise there.

Chess or any other deep game can be likened to music or art. An amusing diversion to some, a way of life to others. Some people see deep meanings in music or art that they think parallels life. But you could argue that the deep study or appreciation of music is pointless too- it serves no real purpose. It brings some people together and it can cause arguments and strife too.
And if you think some chess players take the game to philosophical levels, it hardly compares to the way countries like China and Japan view their versions of chess, and the game of go.

Im unable to focus on your argument cause yourface scares me
but I try not to look at yourface so I can make it,one question to you how do you know that morphy was mentally unwell or obsessed with chess? can you prove it?
Firstly, it's not my face, it's the face of Mikhail Tal. One of the greatest players in history.
Secondly, you need to work on the reading comprehension a bit there.

Very good idea by the OP, very simple and precise while flying over many a head.

should I believe in what media says blindly? no as I have mind to think,a heart to feel, senses to know the truth,i won't let media steer my mind, manipulates my feelings thats why I should filter every single word those writers wrote on media, money talks on their job and so the boss use it to fulfil their interests,i don't say media are fully liars but when they judge on personal life of someone or famous person I decide to ignore it,,only God knows everything in someone's life,,don't let media controls your mind as you are a free man
What in the holy hell does that have to do with anything that I posted?

The quote feature works fine dude. No need to create a huge copy-past wall 'o text. And again - reading comprehension. Learn to comprehend what you're reading. Go back to post #25, re-read it, slowly. Then read it again if necessary. Read it as many times as necessary until you get it. Then realize how silly you're being.
