Very inventive designs I think.
I'm like the others though, normal chess is hard enough for me :)
its very easy for me i guss iv been at it for to long
im working on a new chess set that is 16x16 and it would take 2 or 3 days to play i just need a motion security camera to make sure no one sneeks a move at 2 in the morning or i can make alot of coffee
oh i figuerd it out
a spy piece in chess
1st you play as normal and then just at the right time you exchange one of your oponents white pawns with your black pawn and and this displayes the spy concept
of a secret spy trador in your oponents army
and to anserw ther is a guy how invented that a cube chess
As a game designer I honestly prefer D&D (dungeons and dragons). In fact the inventor of D&D invented a game called Dragon Chess which might have some interesting ideas - the board had 3 levels, the ground, the dungeon and the sky.
I think there was a flaw in the initial design that allowed the dragon to damage one of the opponents pieces on the first move ...
This is another reason why larger boards can be interesting, there could be pieces that take up more than 1 square (e.g. dragon taking up 2x2 squares).
that is the size of the bord in inches not squares it is just the illusion of 8 x 8
i have many chess inventions it is a hobby
the game must look good and be fun to play thats a good goal
i found it difficulet to make a spy piece say you play as black and you have a spy in the white army that only you know and just at the right time he produces a check or a check mate
