isn't it true that you want an active king? The leader should LEAD his troops, not watch from safety
The personality of a Bongcloud Attack player

ha! you 2Q and you don't understand Trolling the opposition in chess?
the point is that if you bongcloud the opponent; they have to be strong enough to put a definite kill to your mobile king.
perhaps easily done with some--- I would only bongcloud a very weak opponent.
'sides like you many and colorful posts; the point is to create noise, controversy and silly ideas. its then becomes more fun.

Actually this opening have been played many times at high level, the main idea is to push the king forward, the king tends to be a great defensive piece to protect the e4 d4 squares, meanwhile the oponent will be busy trying to develop his pieces and castle but that is actually a mistake

No. You need to understand King Safety! FIrst you build a bunker by castling. I like to think of my Queen being worth 9 points and my King is worth 1 BILLION points. That's how valuable he is! You lose your king safety, you lose the game dude! The king does not belong on e2.
Wrong Wrong Wrong...we all learn early in our chess careers that piece point value is based on piece activity, and in regards to piece activity, centralization is key. On e1, the king only has 5 squares to go to, while on e2, he has 8...making him 60% more active. If he is worth a billion points on e2, surely he is worth 1,600,000,000 points on e2.

This is thread title thievery. Pathetic. Try to be more original.
I knew it looked familiar. This guys a phony!
Yes, and as a diamond member, I feel like I'm entitled to some respect around here. I wouldn't mind if some credit was given to me. But no none at all, this guy is parading my style of titling as his own.

It should be renamed as the Bangcloud, because it has the same effect in the opponent as shooting him. Ke2!! and black must resign, sooner or later.

I do not believe in psychology. I believe in good moves!
But you just created a thread on playing the opponent rather than the board!

you know I never really pondered the historical significance of a star till now. ?.
do you think they hate us?
anyways, I'm happy to troll around with you guyz.
Every now and then, and increasingly frequently, my doughty 1...e5 riposte to 1. e4 (indeed "the best by test") is met by 2. Ke2, initiating the Bongcloud Attack. This attempt to take one's opponent out of the book into lines that are complex and positional represents a cowardly means of circumventing the manly, swashbuckling Evans Gambit which dashing and fearless players of black and white alike prefer.
