He has no interest in the cowardly Queen's Gambit and Nimzo-Indian, the stuffy King's Indian, the lugubrious Modern Benoni or slothful Queen's Indian, and leaves the Grunfeld to punks.  He always knows what he wants if not always how to get it.  Uncompromising in his quest for adventure and with the risk of heroic self-sacrifice he knows that the rewards of glory are not always to be found in the world of elo ratings and official titles.  Though his cloth may at times be worn, and his chess pieces chipped and ragged, he bears all of this as a badge of honour.  In chess as in life he knows not fear.  So long as the chess clock ticks he yields not.
