I used to be over 1,600 here, now I languish around 1,300. I don't think I got stupid; I think it has to do with global participation. I mean, sure, since HP laid me and over 30,000 others off, I've played a lot, and drank a lot. But still, to fall that far, that fast, seems strange. I'm inclined to conclude the ratings here are not terribly accurate. Or maybe the alcohol has stolen more brain cells that I'd care to remember. "I think I'm dumb, or maybe just happy"
The ratings here are so low, wow.

1600? In blitz? You were never rated higher than 1447 here.

And yes, as you have demonstrated, lesson ratings REALLY don't matter.
They can be gamed.

For gods sake, hold the camera steady. Maybe you should see a doctor about that.
/ Who knows? Maybe that day you spent two weeks ago getting your lessons rating to move from 1290 to 2700 will pay off in the long run. I assume you at least looked at the titles of the lessons.

As long as the planets are turning
As long as the stars are burning
As long dreams are coming true
You'd better believe it, that I would do
Anything for doge
Yes I would do anything for doge!
I would do anything for doge...
But I won't do that, oh no, no I won't do that.
Like others have tried to explain, ratings only matter as a measure of success against a particular group.
Therefore, the fact that your rating is lower here than elsewhere doesn't matter.
It's like the different temperature scales- Fahrenheit and Celsius. What do you do if someone tells you it's 30 out? Do you put on a coat or dress in shorts? It depends on which scale is being used.
The number (alone) doesn't give you enough information unless you can assume you know what scale is being used.
There are only two main scales used in reporting weather temperature.
There are dozens of ratings used by different sites for different time controls. I am old enough that when someone tells me they are an 1800, I used to be able to assume they were talking about over the board ratings in the United States. Now, I know I have to ask where that rating comes from and what time control it measures.
Your 965 blitz rating here puts you right above on the median rating for active blitz players. That's what the advanced statistics show you. (Your ranking reflects the 50.7% percentile. )
