the spiritual value of playing chess

I've been a player for most of my life since I had an early beginning at the art when a young kid of 5

This was reinforced by real playing with people from many places

I began to study a bit but got desperate since it all sounded like recepies and I find that they ruin the authenticity of this art

I enjoy so much the "natural way"

It is playing by instinct

Not interested in being a world level player! Not even interested in major competition !  Love to play with friends that enjoy a game like gentlemen do - with delight and pleasure! A good game is one in which you (regardless if you win or loose) are able to "surf" throughout the entire strategy elegantly managing your resorses

when you say to yourself "great sequence!"

but also one where you recognize with positive attitude your opponents play - win or loose -

this is were the "spiritual" comes about!

you must view this game also an opportunity to share a mental construction

this is where you start visualizing the whole game in a different manner

and start a mystical approach

not that you will loose your edge not that it will ruin your drive

rather it is about developing a sense of armony amongst the chess community

one that has to do with elegance and trying to be as noble as possible

as a game of mental construction chess is an opportunity to create an ideal state of sharing thought

we consider that this "mental region" be governed by love and respect

we are people that enjoy playing with no real competition drives but respect those who do!
