The Status of Female Players in Chess

Batgirl you posted many great articles and blogs.Thanks but why you don't play chess on chess.com? Are you stuff of chess.com?
I don't think that women don't play chess because they are less able to, I just think that for various reasons, men tend to gravitate to the game more than women. Certain games that don't require physical abilities simply don't attract women to them. The games Risk and Monopoly come to mind. When i was in grade school, boys loved these games, girls did not. Why, I don't know. I think women are just wired differently (note: I said differently, not better or worse).
Have you noticed the same thing's true about gunsmiths?
For every female who's a Certified Master Gunsmith, there are a hundred males whose talents are equal or better at any Master task: porting and balancing, say, a S&W Model 19.
Some say "Lo!" and give their theory: "Women are not so wondrous human as men in the Gunpowder Skills -- the poor things cannot apply themselves."
I remain baffled, yet cherish brilliant gunsmithing, gender begone.
