the wrong parts of knights and bishops

As a beginner, many things including the chess pieces linger on my mind. My idea about knights and bishops is that a bishop should be worth 4 points instead of 3 like the knight. We also could solve this by making a knight worth 2 points. I think this because a bishop can go places quicker than the knight can. Sure, a bishop can only touch half the squares on the board, but you get two, so technically, you can touch every square on the board quickly. If anyone thinks otherwise, please respond and explain why. Thank you!

Another thing I thought of was how knights can jump over pieces and they actually move in an interesting way that no other pieces can. These two special qualities could definitely get them an extra point, or two. Now I am also thinking knights could be worth more than bishops, but still not really agreeing that they should be the same. As I said thank you if you respond.
