I think we're friends now...
Things some chess players say when they blunder

"Doing your best means doing your best. I don't know why you don't understand English." - Anand.
Seriously, that was shocking to hear from Anand. Not from one like Fischer...

No, absolutely not shocking at all.
It was an extremly dumb question by the journalist to start with. I can fully understand Anand and I would have replied in exactly the same annoyed way especially in this moment. He was asked another really dumb question a few days later by Anastasia on whether he really tried to calculate all these complicated lines. But unlike the moron journalist, she was smart enough not to insist on an answer after his quippy reply. For an intelligent person it is an insult to be asked such stupid questions. The same goes to the dumbwits who asked about who's the lady in Carlsen's live or where he was going to celebrate his victory.

Sometimes I am like... REALLY? I CAN'T BELEIVE I DID THAT!!!!! Or I am like, oh well, just gonna play on and see if I can salvage this. It all depends on what mood I am in.

"I think you overlooked THIS little gem!"
What's "gem"? Can it by any chance mean "game" too?
Group hug! Come on everybody.
